Frequently Asked Questions

Nano tip hair extensions are applied the same way as micro ring extensions but use a silicone lined nano ring which is a fraction of the size.

These are applied by threading a small section of your hair into the tiny bead along with the nano tip hair. The bead is then clamped shut to secure the extension and your natural hair.

This method utilises pressure to secure your extensions rather than adhesive or heat. This also means that removal does not involve chemicals.

To ensure your natural hair doesn’t tangle, nano extensions should be maintained in-salon every 5-8 weeks.

You can reuse these extensions as long as you take good care of them.

Professional installation usually takes around 1-3  hours.

No - as long as they are installed by a professional. Many customers report that the extensions actually protect their natural hair and allow for a healthier regrowth period.

It is highly recommended that you have these extensions installed by a professional. You do run a risk of damaging your hair or the product itself if you attempt to install them yourself.

The number of packs you need depends on the volume effect you wish to achieve.

1 to 2 packs (25-50 strands), you can add some highlights or fill out shorter layers around your face.

4 to 6 packs  (100-150 strands) will provide full head coverage for fine hair.

6 to 8 packs (150-200 strands) are ideal and will add length to medium to thick hair.

Our refund policy allows you to return products that you do not open, so we suggest buying a few more packs than you think you need - just in case. You can return the unused packs for a full refund of the purchase price.

You are free to wash your hair as usual, but follow these tips.

✓ Never use products that contain parabens, sulphates, or alcohol.

✓ Only wash your hair 2-3 times per week - the less the better for the life of your extensions.

✓ Only condition the ends and mids of your hair.

✓ Wash your hair in one direction and try to avoid getting knots or snags in your extensions.

✓ After washing, wait for hair to become completely dry before brushing.

✓ Use a weekly deep conditioning treatment on your mids and ends.

Our hair extensions are made from Remy 100% human hair, so you can style them with hot tools as often as you would style your own hair. It is super important to always use a heat protector on both your extension and your natural hair to prevent damage.

Yes! All our hair extensions are made from high-quality human hair - meaning that they can be dyed easily to match your natural hair perfectly. While you can dye the extensions, we recommend avoiding any chemical treatments as the hair has been processed and sterilised.

Try to choose a shade closest to your natural hair coloUr so there’s no need to dye it. If you do need to, opt for a semi-permanent coloUr or colour conditioner. We also suggest testing the dye on a few strands to ensure the final result is what you want. While you can use dye, we take no responsibility for any damage caused by dying your hair extensions. Refunds will not be offered for damage caused by colouring, dyeing, or using any chemical process voids any warranty.

We also offer a range of colour-matching services, if you want to be certain it’s the right shade for you, check out our Colour Match page, or simply contact us with photos of your hair under natural lighting.

Find an extension colour that is as close as possible to your natural hair around half way down the strand, rather than at the root or tip.

We always recommend you get in touch with our team for a colour matching service to ensure you get extensions that look flawless. We can colour match you online. Find out more here

Professional installations of Nano tip hair extensions should last between 6 and 10 weeks before requiring repositioning given that you have properly cared for your extensions. This may vary due to your natural scalp production of sebum and hair growth rate.

You can re-use these extensions up to three times if you care for them well.

An industry professional can remove and reinstall these extensions. Nano rings are removed by unclamping the beads in the opposite direction they were applied. Then the salon professional will gently removing them along with the nano tip from the hair. The section is softly combed to remove any knots. A new bead is applied and clamped during installation.

No, this must be done by a salon professional. You are able to learn how to install them using one of our Superior Hair training courses. However, it is still recommended that you do not install extensions on yourself, even if you are fully qualified.

Avoid putting your hair underneath the water when you have hair extensions. Ocean water salt and swimming pool chemicals causes tangles and takes moisture out of your hair.

If you do accidentally get your hair extensions wet while swimming, rinse your hair with fresh water as soon as possible, and apply a leave in conditioner or spray in condition to alleviate the impact.
